Privacy

Privacy, in plain English.

This site collects very little. The short version: I only use what you send me to reply to you, and there are no cookies or tracking banners.

The contact form

If you send an enquiry, I receive and store what you type: your name, email address, and your answers about the project. That includes your business name, website address and budget if you give them.

I use it to reply to you and to talk about your project. I don’t add anyone to a mailing list and I don’t share your details with anyone else. Your message is emailed to me through a transactional email service and saved in my own database on a server I run.

I keep enquiries for 12 months after the last message, then delete them.

Visitor statistics

I use a self-hosted copy of Umami to see which pages are read and which buttons get pressed. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across other sites, which is why there is no cookie banner.

What’s stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, the site remembers your choice in your browser’s local storage so it doesn’t flip back. It never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I’ll sort it.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
